Chapter 441: 441 I Just Like to Be Jealous
Luo Ziling stared at Yang Qingyin, dumbfounded.
Although the light was dim and Luo Ziling couldn’t see Yang Qingyin’s face clearly, he could tell that she was calm as she spoke.
The fact that Chen Xiaoyi and Chen Xiaoxiao were sisters didn’t shock Luo Ziling very much, as he could tell by their names and appearances. However, he had never imagined that Chen Xiaoyi and Chen Jiahai were from the same family and were siblings.
Due to his great surprise, it took him quite a while to come back to his senses.
In the darkness, Yang Qingyin’s eyes glittered as she watched Luo Ziling without blinking.
After her eyes adjusted to the dark, Yang Qingyin, who had excellent vision, could vaguely make out the astonishment on Luo Ziling’s face.
She knew that his shock was genuine, not feigned.
“Another pair of sisters, isn’t that tempting?” Yang Qingyin teased, pinching Luo Ziling’s arm to remind him, “I interrupted your good time today, you mad at me?”
“Of course I am,” Luo Ziling suddenly burst out, sweeping Yang Qingyin into his arms for a fierce kiss, then setting her down and pulling her into a run.
This domineering kiss from Luo Ziling wiped away much of the resentment Yang Qingyin had just felt. Pulled by him, she couldn’t struggle free and could only run forward with him.
Soon she was panting heavily and pleading with Luo Ziling to slow down because she was out of breath.
But Luo Ziling didn’t stop; instead, he swept her onto his back and continued to walk briskly.
As Yang Qingyin struggled to get down, Luo Ziling threatened harshly, “Little Yang, if you don’t hold on tight and fall, I won’t take responsibility. If you break an arm or leg, or ruin your pretty face, you’ll have to go home crying.”
Yang Qingyin was amused by Luo Ziling’s reference to her “pretty face,” but quickly made a fist and started punching him hard, “You stink, you’re so annoying, I really don’t want to deal with you.”
“Okay, if punching me a few times makes you feel better, go ahead, just don’t chop me with a weapon,” Luo Ziling said.
“I won’t hit you, it hurts too much,” Yang Qingyin retracted her fists, “It’s all bone, it hurts me more than you, not interested.”
“Eh, you’re purposely demeaning me, right? Not even interested in hitting me, I’m going to cry,” Luo Ziling said, turning his head to look at Yang Qingyin, “What are you interested in then? Biting me?”
“Yes, I want to bite you,” Yang Qingyin said, deliberately pouting her cherry lips.
“Okay, bite all you want,” Luo Ziling offered, puckering his lips, “Bite freely, go on, bite hard.”
Yang Qingyin instantly blushed and pinched Luo Ziling’s arm, “Do you know how annoying you are?”
“I don’t know, and even with your reminder, I still don’t know,” Luo Ziling looked at Yang Qingyin innocently, “I’ve always thought I’m not annoying at all.”
Seeing Luo Ziling’s feigned innocent look, Yang Qingyin couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
The two had already walked out of the dark street corner park, and under the streetlamp nearby, Luo Ziling could see Yang Qingyin’s laugh clearly as he looked at her.
Like the warm sun in winter, like the flow of a clear spring, like a rainbow after the rain, the beauty within arm’s reach left Luo Ziling mesmerized.
Suddenly, Yang Qingyin leaned forward, and truly, just as Luo Ziling had hoped, she bit him on the lips.
It wasn’t a kiss; it was a real bite, one that made Luo Ziling feel pain.
After biting him, however, Yang Qingyin pecked him again before quickly urging him, “Hurry up, or we’ll have an audience soon.”
The two had already reached the street, with passersby curiously looking at them. With her thin skin, Yang Qingyin felt embarrassed by the stares and hurriedly urged Luo Ziling to move faster.
After Luo Ziling quickened his pace, he thought of something Yang Qingyin had mentioned and asked curiously, “So does that mean you know Chen Xiaoyi?”
“Of course, I’ve known her for at least a decade,” Yang Qingyin said, without the resentment she had shown when they first met.
“Then why didn’t you warn me when you saw the program?” Luo Ziling asked Yang Qingyin, a bit frustrated. “If you had given me a heads-up, I wouldn’t have gone out with her. I thought it was normal to invite her for late-night snacks or a meal to show my gratitude after she interviewed me. And when she invited me, I felt it would be rude to refuse.”
“How come you’re blaming me now?” Yang Qingyin became huffy again. “Seeing that she was pretty, you happily went on a date with her. Surprised that another beauty showed up, weren’t you? It must have been such a sentimental scene, watching you two play and frolic on the streets.”
“Don’t talk nonsense. There were a lot of people; it’s not like it could have been intimate. But you, on a private date with Fang Dongxun, that alone is infuriating,” Luo Ziling steered the conversation towards the matter concerning Fang Dongxun, “How did he end up asking you out? Was it to talk about your families arranging a marriage?”
“Congratulations, you guessed right, but there’s no prize.”
This response made Luo Ziling instantly feel depressed, and the smile vanished from his face. “Then can you tell me what you talked about? Of course, if you don’t want to, you don’t have to; just pretend I didn’t ask.”
“Then I won’t tell you,” Yang Qingyin replied, a bit peeved.
“Okay, alright!” Luo Ziling responded and said nothing more, slowly walking ahead with Yang Qingyin behind him.
Yang Qingyin was surprised by such a reaction from Luo Ziling. In the end, she couldn’t help but talk about what had happened that evening when Fang Dongxun had asked her out. She felt it was better to make some things clear with Fang Dongxun, so she had accepted the invitation. After recounting the event, she added, “I was with him for less than half an hour, and Xiaoli was with us the whole time. And you’re getting jealous over this? Aren’t you being a bit petty?”
“I am petty, and I do get jealous, so what?” Luo Ziling shamelessly retorted. “You got a problem with that? Bite me then!”
As a result, Yang Qingyin indeed bit Luo Ziling’s shoulder, and after doing so, she added resentfully, “You asked for it!”
Luo Ziling was left somewhat amused and bemused.
But the squabble had dissipated any discomfort in their hearts, and soon the warmth of their past affections returned.
“Senior, don’t worry, I’ll definitely stay away from Chen Xiaoyi. My mom also warned me to keep my distance. Eh, she should know her, right? Why didn’t she mention it to me?” Luo Ziling wondered, finding it strange.
“Then listen to your mom, and keep your distance from her. That woman is very domineering; she’s made many people miserable. More importantly, both your mom and I don’t want you to have much contact with her. Understand?”
After finishing her speech, Yang Qingyin grabbed both of Luo Ziling’s ears, emphasizing her point again, “You have to remember this.”
Luo Ziling could only obediently agree.
