Chapter 83 - All Hail Pirate King Ji Junior

With Ji Yao\'s authority established among the pack of hungry wolves, the discussion on the way forward was underway. Ji Yao seriously looked into crippling Emperor Yu and the nobles as retaliation.

As he thought this through the members of the concord didn\'t hesitate to put across their ideas. Each idea was more violent than the next ranging from storming the imperial city and a declaration of war.

But Ji Yao ignored these suggestions putting himself in his father\'s shoes. The man might be ruthless when dealing with the enemy but he would never declare war mostly because the casualties of conflict are usually innocent citizens who have no involvement in political disputes.

Human, Nocru or half, he didn\'t want any of them to suffer as a result of their leaders\' stupid decisions. He decided to deal with their leaders directly by imposing importation and exportation rules that will directly screw with the noble class without affecting regular citizens.

Ji Yao raised his teacup to his lips and took a sip before addressing this group of clowns. "Emperor Yu indeed crossed the line but we can\'t spill the blood of commoners humans or nocru to put him in his place. Here is a list of the imports by the royal family and nobles monthly and annually. Since they challenged the concord\'s authority then it\'s about time we put them in their place."

"This means all shipments to and from Hyesong must be thoroughly searched for these items. If any is found then confiscate it... and if they resist then it means they are willing to die for their masters," he explained his tone cold and unfeeling.

He was so angry about this whole situation that he wanted to storm the capital immediately and slaughter all the ministers and officials responsible for this provocation. Not forgetting their naive leader with water for a brain. He wanted to chop off his head and spike it on the tallest building of the imperial palace for all to see.

But he couldn\'t do that because of Hyesong\'s imbalanced scale that was on the verge of tipping at the slightest movement. He had to admit the imperial family was holding up the entire continent and if they are eliminated from the food chain a civil war would break out unless the concord takes power.

But that wasn\'t the nature of pirates no matter how affluent and knowledgeable they were. A pirate will forever be a pirate. Pirates love the freedom that comes with the sea and the gains, not political affairs.

Even Ji Yao could be considered a man worthy of the crown but because of the pirate blood following in his veins he had no desire to run a continent.

His suggestion was met with mixed reactions. People like Lady Ching Sei clearly understood what prompted Ji Yao to make that decision. It was what Ji Wen would do but considering that their pirate king was abducted due to this incident they wanted blood to send a message to Emperor Yu.

Since each concord member had a say in the final decision, a tall brawny concord member known as Ju Lang (monstrous wolf) of the Fenrir clan in Niuq stood up to speak. He had a low sense of presence despite his outstanding appearance.

His sense of presence was so low that Ji Wen sometimes had to think twice just to recall his name. Ju Lang had glossy warm beige skin that shimmered with the flickering of the candlelight. He had muscles of steel which everyone could clearly see because his long fur cape hung on his shoulders barely covering the torso.

He had an impeccable Fenrir tattoo across half his shoulder but the rest of it was covered by a black harness across his chest. His weapon of choice was a war hammer with a wolf head insignia on either side. But that wasn\'t even the most eye-catching thing about him. It was his hair that left a big impression. Just like the yin yang symbol, it was half black and half white.

It also explained why Ji Wen could never remember his name. It was because in his head he called him Big Panda. I know so uncreative, right but the hair just made him think of pandas though there was absolutely nothing cute about Ju Lang.

The man respectfully saluted Ji Yao and said, "We have royal blood among us... we can just behead one of them and send a message to the emperor."

Ji Yao\'s breath stagnated as he clenched the teacup in his hand tightly. To this band of thieves, it made sense to use one of the Rui siblings as it was in their nature but none of them knew the history and importance of these three not only to Ji Yao but to Ji Wen as well.

Sixty per cent of the concord seemed to agree with this but what did the Rui siblings have to do with the imperial family. Setting aside the fact that they were victims since their father wasn\'t even recognized by the emperor so why would he care if his grandchildren from his estranged son got killed.

Ji Yao closed his eyes suppressing the rage mounting up within but he still failed in the end throwing the teacup at the speed of a bullet. The teacup barely missed the man but before he could recover from the shock his chest was suddenly kicked sending him flying a few feet from the door.

Only the heavens know how excited Ji Yao\'s sword was as it appeared in his hand vibrating loudly as though saying, "Finish him! Finish him!" A transcended blaze spread to its tip surrounded by vicious blue sparks like an electric flame.

Ji Yao\'s left pupil changed to a bright red colour and his right one a light blue colour like he had heterochromia eyes but this was a result of two kinds of seraphic energies fighting for dominance. He could have taken a calm approach to this situation but with the awakening of the Qilin blood, he was prone to outbursts like his mother.

No one dared to speak as they were suppressed by this majestic seraphic energy much more intimidating than that of Ji Wen\'s. The Qilin clan didn\'t become one of the major clans in Niuq for nothing. It was like their seraphic energy was forged from the darkest elemental spirit just like the Huishe clan.

A none discriminatory sense of suffocation swept past the hall as he walked over to Ju Lang. It seemed the one time he spoke he angered Ji Yao.. It was not that he had anything against the Rui siblings but it was simply logical and the fact Prince Rui was willing to risk everything just to get them back meant they held some significance.
