Chapter 268: Masked Man
He knew the Prison Shelter had withstood two previous Zombie Waves and was confident they had a trump card.
He wasn\'t planning to intervene; instead, he waited patiently for the inhabitants to reveal their full might.
As the Juggernaut Zombie drew dangerously close, the inhabitants of the Shelter made their move. Five men, each riding a massive wolf, charged out from the gates.
"I knew it… They\'re not simple… I wonder which Clan owns this Shelter." Shane muttered as he soon noticed their weapons…
It wasn\'t a spear or swords but chains!
Chains clinked and rattled in their hands, and they seemed to be glowing with power, showing that they must be Exceptional-Grade or even a Master-Grade weapon!
Their plan was clear: they intended to bring the Juggernaut down. After all, if it continued on its path, the walls they repaired for a long time would be destroyed once again.
The wolves, powerful and swift, dashed towards the Juggernaut with their riders holding the chains tightly.
Awoo~
The ground trembled under the combined weight of the wolves and the Juggernaut\'s thunderous steps. The surrounding was filled with tension and Shale felt excited.
He didn\'t expect that watching this battle would make him thrilled.
The first rider, a burly man with a scarred face, swung his chain with perfect timing…
The chain wrapped around the Juggernaut\'s massive leg as soon as it stepped forward, and the wolf dug its claws into the ground, pulling with all its might.
The Juggernaut roared in anger, its movements momentarily hindered but it was not enough to bring this creature down!
The second and third riders followed suit, their chains snaking around the Juggernaut\'s other leg and its waist. The combined Strength of the wolves and their riders began to slow the behemoth down.
The Juggernaut thrashed wildly, trying to shake off the chains, but the riders held firm. The heavy weight of the large wolves had truly helped them a lot!
\'I wonder what kind of talent is this… Are they all possessing Wolf Rider Talent?\' Shane thought to himself. However, another idea popped up in his mind…
These wolves may actually be their Pets! Perhaps they also obtained Evolution Stones and made them this huge and powerful!
Of course, there could also be a Wolf Summoner capable of lending their wolves to others.
Anyway, the fourth rider, a nimble woman with fiery red hair like Raze, aimed for the Juggernaut\'s arm. Her chain wrapped around its forearm, and her wolf growled fiercely, adding its Strength to the effort.
Shane noticed that as soon as the wolves growled, their riders seemed to have obtained Strength that was probably 80 to 100 points!
That was definitely incredible!
Soon, the Juggernaut\'s arm was pulled back, limiting its ability to strike.
Finally, the fifth rider, a young man with a determined look in his eyes, targeted the Juggernaut\'s neck. His chain looped around the thick neck, and his wolf strained against the weight. The Juggernaut\'s movements became more restricted, its roars of fury echoing through the battlefield.
With the Juggernaut partially immobilized, the inhabitants of the Shelter unleashed their full might. Archers on the walls fired arrows tipped with explosive charges, aiming for the Juggernaut\'s vulnerable joints. Mages chanted incantations, sending bolts of lightning and fire towards the beast.
The Juggernaut staggered under the relentless assault, its armor cracking and splintering. The combined efforts of the riders, wolves, archers, and mages began to take their toll. The Juggernaut\'s roars grew weaker, its movements more sluggish.
In a final, desperate attempt, the Juggernaut tried to break free, but the chains held fast. With one last coordinated effort, the riders and their wolves pulled with all their Strength.
Graaahhh!
The Juggernaut tried to resist, but after a few tries, it finally toppled forward, crashing to the ground with a resounding thud.
Boom!
The earth trembled as soon as it fell down.
Then, a cheer erupted from the Shelter. They had done it—they had brought down the Juggernaut Zombie.
Although it was still alive, they had a higher chance of killing this Zombie now!
Shane watched with a satisfied smile. This Prison Shelter was definitely strong. They certainly deserved to reach this level.
"Whoa! This thing is huge! I wonder if we can take its armor and club… Even if we can\'t use it, we can use its scrap metal."
"Haha! That sounds a great idea!"
"Boss, kill this thing already!"
"I hope you get another Evolution Stone."
"I will be the next user of the Evolution Stone so bear that in mind!"
"Hahaha!"
After the Juggernaut crashed to the ground, combatants began pouring out of the Prison Shelter to finish the battle.
Among them was a tall warrior wielding a weapon that glowed with a fierce red light—a Master-Grade Sword, Shane surmised.

Twang!
Just as this warrior prepared to deliver the final blow to the Juggernaut Zombie, an arrow whizzed through the air.
Thud!
The man deftly blocked it with his sword and turned to face the source.
He couldn\'t help but frown at their sight.
Approaching rapidly was a group of Survivors he was familiar with. They were from the School Shelter, clearly intent on claiming the last hit reward for themselves.
The others obviously realized this as well, as they immediately held their weapons and were ready to fight…
The tall warrior from the Prison Shelter, his sword still glowing ominously, stood his ground.
"This is our kill, Eve…" he declared, his voice wasn\'t loud but he was resolute.
The leader of the School Shelter group, a tall woman with a bow slung across her back, stepped forward. "We all have a stake in this fight, Chris." she retorted. "We already injured this Zombie, so it was already weak when it arrived here. The final hit should be mine…" Eve said.
To be honest, Chris needs three or four strikes to kill this Zombie based on its toughness and size. It would be difficult to get the last hit with the presence of the archers from the School Shelter.
Nonetheless, before the situation could escalate further, Shane decided it was time to intervene. He stepped forward, wearing a Zombie Mask he had just bought.
