Chapter 867 Cuban's Persistence
Chapter 867 Cuban\'s Persistence
This device\'s bands and bands of magical blood crystals held her hands and legs apart.
The red electricity literally peeled parts of her flesh and blood as well as her power and was transfered magically into a much bigger room were it formed the buildings, pillars and earth that made up an entirely different subplane.
This was an excruciating process that cost her incredible pain.
And she screamed at this. Meanwhile far up on another balcony, young Cuban watched with peeled eyes at the suffering that Everbee went through.
This process known as the \'Founding\' was done twice every couple of days.
The project known as Judas had to do with a magical and scientific process of creating a formidable weapon of mass destruction by remoulding the flesh of a Person to form a weapon they could wield as their own.
Those incharhe of the project tagged it what it was as it was a betrayal of one\'s own flesh from the individuals body as a result of unimaginable pain.
This was the first of its kind.
As Cuban watched from this high-up balcony, he waited.
The process took a couple of hours. However, when it was done, he rushed over to the magical device as Everbee was brought down from it by some lab assistants, and he presented her with a towel and a bowl, "it is blood crystal nectar. Have some, it will help you regain your strength." He presented it to her.
However, she looked at the items in his hands and then she swatted it away with a wave of her hands and then she turned and walked away with a frown.
This was not the first time that Cuban was bringing refreshments for her after one of the sessions.
However, she had never liked it and had even beaten him several times for it.
However, he just would not stop. He was always ever persistent. And it was really getting on her nerves.
After all, she did not like him. In the Asmodeus family, power and talent were the qualification of one\'s authority and Cuban was the most useless talent ever seen.
Rumors had it that he would never make it past the deep demon Rank and as one that she shared the same father with as well as being her aunty\'s son, she could not help but be extremely disappointed that she who had shown such promise for the bloodline acts had been put in the same category as such trash.
She spat on the ground as she walked away. Cuban remained there, his gaze still as fierce as ever.
She went back to her Chambers to rest. She still had another session that would l
However, only a few minutes into her rest, she could hear loud noises from outside her window. Nôv(el)B\\\\jnn
She was too tired to care. However, she suddenly heard a family voice, "give me back my crystal nectar. Its for my cousin."
"Huh!?" She raised a brow at this, and then she looked out the window.
And there, she saw three teenage boys picking on Cuban. They had taken some blood crystals with blue spots on them from his hands.
"Hey! Give that back. I got that myself for my cousin. Don\'t you dare eat it."
The biggest of the bullies chuckled, "really!? To think that such a useless wise like you will dare enter the Deranged forest just to get blood crystals for nectar. You are either very brave, or so weak and talentless that the monsters there did not bat you a second look."
This facility like many of those under the royal asmodeus family was made of blood crystals.
And as such, blood crystals could be found everywhere.
However, only a certain kind of blood crystals could be converted into crystal nectar and it was found out the outskirts of The Deranged forest.
This was a well-known dangerous place. This was most especially true for those of a lower cultivation level.
Cuban could barely call himself a lesser demon, but he ventured to such a dangerous place to get blood crystals.
From the scars on his body and his rough appearance, Everbee could tell that it was true.
After all, even the guards looked down on Cuban. Considering his lack of talent, none would be willing to go into such a dangerous place on his orders.
Even though he was a son of Asmodeus.
Such was the kind of world they lived in. But Cuban had not let this weigh him down and he had gone into that place.
At this moment, she could not help but remember every time he had brought the meal to her. He had always looked rough, battered and bruised.
Surely, he would have died in that place multiple times, but he had persisted again and again.
The bully did not care.
"Oh, so you brought it for that useless bitch Everbee! I hear she cant even make a Arcane pillar. The symbol of pure bloodline power. All she is good for is being a lab rat."
On saying this, the bully waved his hand, and a pillar was formed.
The sight of which made Everbee frown harshly. Evn her mother had been able to gorm this effortlessly. But not her.
The bully then took the nectar blood crystal and bite a bit, "hmmm! This is delicious. That useless bitch Everbee does not deserve such an incredible treatment. Since you want to kill yourself to impress that bitch, why dont you bring more for me and my brothers everyday and we shall see if we can put in a word with father, so that you can remain our errand boy."
On saying this he laughed wildly and so did the other boys.
Everbee was very pissed at this and was a step away from jumping out of her window with her tired body in order to show these boys who was boss.
However, she suddenly noticed a rouse of anger and mix of bloodlust.
It was so potent that it made her turn in reflex at the source of danger. To her surprise, it was from Cuban.
(Author\'s note: its a short recap on the past. This way it becomes easier to understand why Uriel and what the royal families want with him.)
