Chapter 64 - 64 So Dashing So Tough!
“Actually, I’m quite curious, how much money did your family spend?”
Qiao Yun shook her head, “No money.”
“So you mean there wasn’t a donation.”
Li Miao suddenly realized, “Then, the new laboratory building that the school just built was donated by your family?”
Qiao Yun couldn’t answer for a moment; although the Lu Family didn’t fund the laboratory building.
But, it was built by Pei Ya for her.
Seeing Qiao Yun’s furrowed brows in struggle, Li Miao felt she had grasped the truth.
Checking that the time was about right, Li Miao waved to Qiao Yun and returned to Class Three.
The seating arrangement had been sent to Qiao Yun earlier as information, and she directly approached her spot, just about to sit down.
Suddenly, the chair was kicked over with a bang.
“Sorry, my leg cramped,” Jiang Huai apologizes with his mouth, but his face is full of ruffian arrogance.
Qiao Yun paused, then bent down to pick up the chair.
With a bang, the chair fell over again.
Now the classroom atmosphere grew even weirder.
It was obvious to everyone that Jiang Huai was doing it on purpose.
Jiang Huai was known for his decent grades but also for his notoriously difficult personality. His classmates were quite afraid of him, and nobody dared to speak up for Qiao Yun.
Qiao Yun’s eyes, clear cut in black and white, calmly looked towards Jiang Huai.
“Sorry, my leg cramped again, I don’t know why my foot keeps doing this today,” he says, shrugging with a helpless look on his face.
Qiao Yun’s face remained cool as she lifted her foot and kicked over Jiang Huai’s chair, saying quite indifferently, “It’s okay, I forgive you.”
“…!?”
“Shit!” Jiang Huai was furious, “Are you asking for a beating?”
The classmates were surprised, Qiao Yun’s action was unexpected.
The girl sharing a desk with Qiao Yun was so scared she shrank back into a corner.
Lu Xue was nearly ready to clap, Qiao Yun really was a troublemaker, picking a fight with Jiang Huai right off the bat; she stretched her neck, ready to enjoy the show.
“Jiang Huai!”
Lu Ting walked in from the doorway, standing in front of Qiao Yun, presenting herself as a protector.
“What are you doing?”
“She deliberately knocked over my chair,” Jiang Huai said, his mood improving upon seeing his goddess.
Lu Ting’s eyes flickered, and she apologized in a low voice, “My sister just came out from the countryside. There are many things she hasn’t learned yet, and she might have done some things wrong. Don’t hold it against her.”
“Fine, for your sake, I won’t hold this against her.”
Jiang Huai thought to himself, not without reason, that the person he liked was just too kind.
Right after he set the chair upright, Qiao Yun unexpectedly kicked it again.
Bang.
The chair fell over again.
Jiang Huai: “…”
Classmates: “…”
“Dammit, are you sick!” Jiang Huai’s face was full of anger.
Lu Ting was also stunned, and turned to look at Qiao Yun sharply.
Qiao Yun’s clear black eyes looked at her as she stated a fact, “You’re in the wrong, you should apologize first. I haven’t made a mistake, you shouldn’t have apologized for me.”
Lu Ting felt somewhat guilty.
Only then did the classmates react, realizing that it was Jiang Huai who picked the fight in the first place, and Qiao Yun indeed wasn’t at fault.
But then again, thinking about it, Lu Ting had just entered the classroom and was unaware of the situation, so it was normal for her to apologize first, right?
“I already told you, my leg was cramping,” Jiang Huai certainly wouldn’t admit he did it on purpose.
Qiao Yun’s cold gaze landed on his leg, “When a leg cramps, the calf and toe muscles will contract rigidly, even spasm. You show none of these symptoms, therefore, based on analysis, you did it on purpose to kick over my chair.”
Stunned by Qiao Yun’s persistence in getting to the truth, Jiang Huai was speechless.
Qiao Yun concluded, “Based on your actions, I have reason to suspect you intend to bully me. Shengyang High School does not tolerate bullying, and depending on the severity, the school may issue a severe reprimand or expulsion.”
“…”
The classmates looked at each other, thinking the country girl would be meek and easy to bully.
But unexpectedly, she was so fierce and firm!
